Photo of Call to King County Area - BIPOC business owners to participate in collaborative design project

BizDiversity is actively recruiting BIPOC (Black, Indigenous & People of Color) small business owners and entrepreneurs in King County to participate in a collaborative design project.

Our goals are to become a better community partner, to increase access to culturally relevant services and to contribute towards building community along the way.

Over the past two years, Federal and state governments have provided many resources to help small businesses recover from the COVID-19 pandemic than ever before. Online seminars, cash grants, the Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) and many of other resources have been available to help impacted small businesses. Over that span, BizDiversity has also compiled its own listing of such resources.
Unfortunately, businesses owned by women and BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, People of Color) have often encountered barriers to access, including, but not limited to awareness, experience accessing government programs, and language barriers that makes accessing resources elusive.
As we approach a new stage and the economy at large begins to reopen, the needs of small businesses and the resources available to them will begin to shift. As research shows, BIPOC entrepreneurs experience inequities in this kind of transition.
BizDiversity would like to become a partner in co-designing equitable solutions and opportunities for self-determination among small businesses and entrepreneurs. We value community input at BizDiversity and would very much appreciate hearing your thoughts.
